Exploring web technologies

This project aims at creating advanced decision support systems by using and developing new technologies for data sharing and environmental simulations.

Some of the technologies we use are listed below. These technologies will also be used to make the data and models available for other purposes.

Data sharing

• waterML, the markup language of the CUASHIconsortium
• Observations and Measurements, the data sharingstandard of the Open Geospatial Consortium

Web processing

• PyWPS, an open source python-based implementation of the OGC webprocessing service standard.
• R, an open source environment for data processingand simulation
• Topmodel and HydroMad, two R packages for hydrological simulation.

Visualisation

• Google Chart Tools, an interactive graph API.
